Group Supported Community Connection

Alternatives Access' Group SCC Teams focus on bringing individuals with similar age, interests, and abilities together for the purpose of building and maintaining friendships inside and outside of the group setting. The groups are limited to a maximum of eight individuals, with two to three staff members per group depending on the group needs. Group members plan activities together for each month, focusing on attending new and exciting events, sites, and activities in their local community and on physical health such as exercise depending on the group. As relationships develop, providers will encourage and help facilitate individuals with planning social events outside of the group.
